This course is an introduction to simulation facilitation. During this course we will establish fundamental simulation theory, concepts, and best practices in a psychologically safe environment. Learners will learn debriefing strategies and hone their skills through deliberate practice, group discussion, and structured feedback. These experiential learning activities will build knowledge and proficiency, culminating in a clinical simulation scenario and debrief. Simulation provides experiential learning and is supported by adult learning theories. Simulation allows participants to move from knowledge and comprehension to analysis, application and synthesis.
