Care of Cardiac Surgical Patient on the Telemetry Unit July
The Care of Cardiac Surgical Patient on the Telemetry Unit is organized by the Manager of Clinical Operations, Advanced Practicing Nurse, and the Nursing Professional Development team. The goal of this training is to promote excellence in nursing through evidence-based practice presentation and simulation. The nurses defined within the telemetry unit should be able to care for care for cardiac surgical patients which includes discontinuation of chest tube and external pacing if necessary. This training will provide these evidence-based practices to promote health patient outcomes.

Target Audience
This course is intended for registered nurses with the telemetry unit.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of chest tube removal
- Demonstrate knowledge of external pacing
- Pass a posttest with a score of 80% or better
