Overview:

This one hour Water lab/ ECMO simulation session series: Will allow each individual hands-on experience. Will provide the specialist with a full understanding of all possible circuit emergencies, and the appropriate intervention should be accomplished by the end of the session. Each quarter different scenarios will be shared and how to safely care for patients requiring ECMO.

Overall Objectives: At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

 1. Evaluate the parts and the function of the ECMO circuit and pump
2. Respond to emergency situations with the ECMO pump
3. Demonstrate how to efficiently manage the problem with the ECMO circuit

This activity is designed for ECMO specialists; RNs and physicians.
