Medical errors are third leading cause of death in the U.S. and 10 percent of U.S. deaths are due to preventable medical mistakes. Advocate Aurora Health has declared patient safety a moral imperative for our patients. As such, we have committed to a goal of ZERO serious safety events. In these sessions we will work on eliminating serious harm throughout our healthcare delivery system by implementing a culture of high reliability performance.
