Wound Care Symposium 2025 at Advocate Christ Medical Center

The Wound Care Symposium 2025 will include a series of live presentations by experts in the field. Topics that will be presented and discussed include: traumatic wound assessment, reviewing different wound care cases, preoperative and postoperative assessment and support for ostomy patients, role of dietitian, podiatry, and infectious disease in wound care.  A total of 5 contact hours will be awarded at the end of the conference after evaluations are submitted.

NOTE: Please note this activity will be presented 7:30am – 2:50pm CST / 8:30am - 3:50pm EST

This conference is being held in-person at Advocate Christ Conference Center Stein Auditorium (93rd & Kilbourn).

Target Audience

This course is intended for registered nurses, physical and occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals interested in wound and ostomy care.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Describe key elements of assessment and treatment for patients with skin alterations.
  2. Identify importance of preoperative education and stoma siting for ostomy patients.
