The Wound Care Symposium 2023 will include a series of live presentations by experts in the field. Topics that will be presented and discussed include: necrotizing soft tissue infections, outpatient wound care procedures, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, ostomy support groups, social media in malpractice litigation, challenging dermatology cases, and types of and indications for ostomies. A total of 6.5 contact hours will be awarded at the end of the conference after evaluations are submitted.

This conference is being held in-person at Christ Medical Center.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for registered nurses and other healthcare professionals interested in wound and ostomy care.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Describe key elements of assessment and treatment for patients with skin alterations.
  2. Identify different types of ostomies and the available support resources for ostomy patients.
