Ventricular Assist Device 8 Hour Class
January 12, 2023 to December 14, 2023
This course is the initial training, usually completed while on orientation, for all nurses that will provide 24/7 care to Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) patients while hospitalized.
Target Audience
This course is intended for nurses that will provide 24/7 care to Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) patients in the ASHU, CVTU, CSDU, 9 West and 6 South inpatient rehab setting.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- At the end of this session, learners will be able to: identify at least one change of practice/lesson learned to safely care for VAD patients.
