Urgent Care Skill's Experience 2025
A key part of clinical orientation for new advanced practice professionals is training in frequently performed skills and procedures. To support this, we offer an Urgent Care Skills Training Day for all new clinicians. This in-person session will provide hands-on practice with procedures you’ll perform frequently such as splinting, epistaxis management, laceration repair, and incision and drainage.
Target Audience
This course is intended for nurses, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Identify red flags and when to transfer to a higher level of care if necessary.
- Develop hands-on practice with the required equipment.
- Interpret and integrate coding for each procedure with guides provided by the billing/coding department.
