Ultrasound Vascular Imaging-Venous Insufficiency
This digital course is designed for General and Vascular Sonographers, as well as Interpreting Physicians at the various Wisconsin Imaging Sites that are performing Venous Insufficiency exams. Intent of the module is to educate and instruct those sonographers on the latest imaging guidelines that the AAMG Radiologists have defined for venous insufficiency ultrasound.

Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Recognize clinical presentations using CEAP classification criteria when imaging or viewing venous insufficiency ultrasound exams.
- Identify and apply proper nomenclature and definitions for lower extremity venous system.
- Identify lower extremity and junctional venous anatomy.
- Identify what is reflux as well as where and how reflux patterns match to clinical presentations.
- Distinguish the nature of perforators and the associated wounds that may occur when there are abnormalities.
- Apply the imaging guidelines for performing venous insufficiency ultrasound.
- Review of treatment options, case studies, common pitfalls, and FAQs regarding venous insufficiency ultrasound imaging.
