This presentation will highlight the importance of applying trauma-informed care and healthcare literacy practices using a multidisciplinary approach that incorporates the social drivers of health. ​​

This course is intended for nurses, physicians, and pharmacists.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Identify trauma-informed care and healthcare literacy practices to enhance patient safety in nursing, pharmacy, and physician practice.
  2. Improve patient experience through better communication with doctors, nurses, and providers as measured by HCAHPS results.
