Social Drivers of Health and Maternity Care: A Multidisciplinary Approach
This panel discussion will address the current state of maternal health as it is impacted by social drivers, the actions that are being taken to address them, and the future landscape of maternal health care in relation to social drivers of health. Clinicians, administrators, and community health workers will engage in a discussion addressing their roles and how they partner to improve health outcomes for birthing people.

This activity is designed for physicians, nurses, and other interested healthcare professionals.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Identify Social Drivers of Health that contribute to maternal morbidity or mortality.
- Recommend ways to improve patient outcomes through multidisciplinary collaboration that includes cultural competence and humility.
- Utilize resources available to advocate for and drive healthcare toward an equitable and patient-centered future.
