Simulation Facilitator Course 2025
The purpose of this simulation course is to establish fundamental simulation theory, concepts, and best practices in a psychologically safe environment. Learners will learn debriefing strategies and hone their skills through deliberate practice, group discussion, and structured feedback. These experiential learning activities will build knowledge and proficiency, culminating in a clinical simulation scenario and debrief.

Target Audience
This course is intended for physicians (MD & DO), nurse practitioners (NP), registered nurses (RN), and other interested health professionals.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Apply simulation best practices, including adult learning principles, psychological safety, and conceptual components of Debriefing with Good Judgment, by participating in experiential learning activities with structured feedback.
- Assemble a debriefing strategy utilizing the 5 phases and mixed method questioning techniques of the PEARLS debriefing framework.
