Sexual Harassment Prevention Training

What Is Sexual Harassment Training? Sexual harassment training educates employees on what is considered harassment in the workplace. Most states require some form of sexual harassment training to be given to employees on a yearly basis. It is important to be aware of what your state requires.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for physicians, nurses, social workers and other healthcare providers.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  • Examine sexual misconduct in the medical setting as it relates to the clinician-patient encounter and in the work place.
  • Analyze the definition of sexual harassment consistent with the Illinois Human Rights Act and Chicago Ordinance
  • Evaluate examples of conduct that constitutes unlawful sexual harassment
  • Assess relevant federal and State statutory provisions concerning sexual harassment, including remedies available to victims of sexual harassment
  • Formulate a list of responsibilities of employers in the prevention, investigation, and corrective measures of sexual harassment.
