Sepsis in the Skilled Nursing Facility 2024
This program will present the signs of sepsis and SIRS (Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome) and a tool ("Stop and Watch" that can help identify and intervene when symptoms are noted in the Skilled Nursing Facility Setting
Target Audience
This course is intended for RNs and APRNs.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Describe signs and symptoms of early sepsis in the SNF patient
- Utilize the “Stop & Watch” Tool
- Demonstrate knowledge of the signs of sepsis and SIRS by passing a post test with 80%
