The 1-hour Sepsis Escape Room simulation provides a fun opportunity to challenge your sepsis knowledge. Critical thinking, teamwork, and communication will be crucial skills needed to save the patient and escape the room!

Target Audience

This activity is designed for registered nurses at Illinois Masonic Medical Center

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. List at least 2 signs/symptoms of sepsis, severe sepsis, and septic shock.
  2. Describe 1-2 key anticipated interventions for a patient with sepsis, severe sepsis, and septic shock and apply to applicable treatment plans in clinical practice.
  3. Apply evidence-based methods for improving care to sepsis patients in current clinical practice.
  4. Demonstrate problem solving skills by completing the Escape Room before the time runs out.
