From Screening to Survivorship: Current Best Practices in Breast Cancer Care

This course will provide an update on current breast cancer screening recommendations, supplemental imaging guidelines, and the management of abnormal breast imaging findings. Participants will also learn about Cancer Prevention Clinic services, referral pathways, and current cancer prevention and treatment options to support patient counseling and timely, appropriate care.

Target Audience

This course is intended for physicians, nurses and other health care professionals.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  • Apply current breast cancer screening, supplemental imaging, and follow-up recommendations when counseling patients regarding breast health.
  • Recommend appropriate referral to the Cancer Prevention Clinic by explaining the clinic's role in risk assessment, prevention, and patient care.
