SC09 - Acute Anesthesia Provider 100

January 1, 2024 to April 30, 2024

In this course, participants will learn how to locate patients using the Status Board, review clinical data, document a pre-op assessment, anesthesia plan and place pre-op orders. Participants will also learn how to link the monitor to Epic to automate the collection of vital signs, record intra-op documentation including medications, events, positioning staff, airway, blocks and blood administration.  Participants will also learn how to place post-procedure orders, modify active orders, document line removal, complete a post-procedure evaluation, document the end of anesthesia care and complete charting. In addition, participants will create templates using macros.

Target Audience

This course is intended for Anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and Anesthesiologist Assistants

  1. Operate the EMR in a safe and efficient manner 
  2. Review clinical information effectively 
  3. Accurately create, edit, and document procedures and diagnoses
  4. Correctly order tests, medications, and prescriptions
