Safety in Numbers: The Power of Reporting Medication Events- Medication Safety CE​

This CE will provide key concepts of medication safety including human error and high reliability. The presentation will also include the importance of event reporting and provide specific information to Advocate MWR event trends and select examples of safety related changes.

Target Audience

This course is intended for pharmacy technicians.

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to

  • Recognize key safety principles including human error, high reliability, and psychological safety  ​
  • Determine what is a reportable safety event 
  • Outline the safety event reporting process
  • Examine medication event trends and recent safety changes based on event reporting
