This presentation will include information about indications, dosing strategies, monitoring parameters, and treatment plans for continuous neuromuscular blocking agent infusions used in critically ill patients.

  • List the indications for neuromuscular blocking agents (NMBAs)
  • Evaluate NMBA dosing strategies used for critically ill patients
  • Compare and contrast controversies for administration of NMBAs in critically ill patients
  • Describe key monitoring parameters for a continuous NMBA infusion
  • Design a treatment plan for a patient receiving a continuous NMBA infusion
