Overview

The course will provide the foundational knowledge of the preceptor in alignment with the Association for Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) Preceptor Competency Consensus Study.

This course is being held virtually.

NOTE: Please note this activity will be presented 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. CST / 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. EST

Target Audience

This course is intended for Nurses, Medical Assistants, and all interested clinical teammates serving in the preceptor role, as appropriate to their scope, job description, and state practice requirements.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Recognize attributes, roles, knowledge, skills, and behaviors of an Advocate Health Preceptor.
  2. Utilize the tools necessary to create a safe, accountable learning environment.
  3. Promote learning and provide verbal and written feedback.
