Practical Nursing Strategies for Safe and Effective Pain Management
Nurses play a critical role in effective pain management. This program will close gaps concerning safe and effective pain management among hospitalized patients and provide an overview of barriers related to pain management, utilization of a multimodal pain management regimen, and safe opioid administration.
This conference is being held in-person. A pretest and posttest will be completed during the educational session. Credit will not be given if not completed.
Target Audience
This course is intended for registered nurses working with patients in a hospital setting.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of barriers to appropriate pain management, components of a multimodal pain management regimen, and key elements of safe and effective opioid administration by achieving a minimum score of 80% on a quiz at the end of the session.
