This class will discuss the care and management of the pediatric post-operative heart transplant patient.  This class is intended for pediatric bedside nurses in the critical care setting.

 

This conference is being held in-person.

Target Audience

This course is intended for nurses and other health care professionals.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  • Identify the indications and process of heart transplantation
  • Describe transplant related infection and rejection
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the care and management of the pre-operative, post-operative and discharge planning for the heart transplant patient
