Opioid Series - Dependency Vs Opioid Use Disorder - EM

This program is designed to improve understanding and identification of opioid use disorder, utilizing resources within Advocate Health to aid in combating the opioid crisis, and describe safe opioid prescribing practices and monitoring.

  • Differentiate between opioid dependence and opioid use disorder
  • Learn how tolerance develops 
  • Examine neurochemistry of withdrawal 
  • Identify criteria for opioid use disorder
