Oh my GERD!-A guideline update on the diagnosis and management of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)

CPE offering on Gastroesophageal Reflux Disorder. This hour-long presentation will include information regarding new guideline recommendations and how they pertain to clinical pharmacists. The presentation will also contain updates on relevant drug-drug interactions and mitigation strategies.

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to

•Compare and contrast previous GERD guidelines to current recommendations
•Identify 3 safety concerns of GERD medication therapy
•Recognize 2 situations in which GERD medication management can be deescalated
•Apply guideline recommendations for the treatment of GERD to a patient case​​
