Nihilistic Violent Extremism: Emerging Threats in Terrorism

Over the course of the last few years, the FBI has observed a concerning increase in activity by online actors associated with an ideology called Nihilistic Violent Extremism (NVE). NVE predators target children across the United States including in Wisconsin.  This course is designed to provide an introductory overview to this for providers who are on the front lines. Providers will be able to identify what NVE and Sadistic Online Exploitation (SOE) involve. Providers will be able to identify the potential warning signs that a child is being victimized in this way by these actors.
