Neuroscience & Stroke Education Series: Utilizing APCs in Neuroscience Recorded Session

This session is part of the Neuroscience & Stroke Education Series. 

With the challenges in neuroscience-related patient access in the ambulatory environment, it is important to understand how best to utilize APCs at top of license to compliment a neuroscience practice with the highest level of quality and efficiency.

Target Audience

This course is intended for all physicians including generalists, neurologists, intensivists, radiologists, and pathologists, RN's, PA's, NP's, RTT's, and various other members of the health care team.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Define the advanced practice clinician (APC) and their scope of practice
  2. Describe the current issues in Neuroscience and their relationship to APCs
  3. Identify barriers to integrating APCs into practice
  4. Provide the position of the American Academy of Neurology
  5. Describe the benefits of an APC in a neuroscience practice
  6. Provide recommendations for best practices for the APC in Neuroscience
  7. Discuss Advocate Aurora’s APC structure and the efforts for further APC engagement in Neurosciences
