Neuroscience & Stroke Education Series: An Overview of the WI Coverdell Stroke Program Recorded Session

This session is part of the Neuroscience & Stroke Education Series. 

This presentation will provide a brief overview of the Paul Coverdell National Acute Stroke Prevention, and the Wisconsin Coverdell Stroke Programs. The participant will gain an understanding of the Wisconsin Coverdell Stroke Program’s work in implementing data driven quality improvement, identifying disparities, and educating the community about stroke.

Target Audience

This course is intended for physicians including generalists, neurologists, intensivists, radiologists, and pathologists, RN's, PA's, NP's, RTT's, and various other members of the health care team.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Develop an understanding of the Paul Coverdell National Acute Stroke Prevention program.
  2. Explore how the Wisconsin Coverdell Stroke Program supports and implements data driven quality improvement programs and activities for stroke care. 
  3. Recognize how the Wisconsin Coverdell Stroke Program is identifying disparities in stroke care. 
  4. Identify primary and secondary prevention activities the Wisconsin Coverdell Stroke Program is utilizing to educate the community.
