The Neonatal/MFM Subspecialty Symposium 2025 aims to provide a comprehensive platform for healthcare professionals to explore the latest advancements in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of complex congenital anomalies in neonates. The symposium will focus on the collaborative, multidisciplinary approach essential for optimizing outcomes in neonates with intricate medical conditions. With expert-led sessions and case discussions, this conference will foster deeper insights into the nuances of congenital disorders, highlighting the critical role of early intervention, diagnostic precision, and evidence-based therapies.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  • Recognize neonatal patient characteristics and clinical conditions that may necessitate early, aggressive intervention by surgical subspecialists.
  • Define the criteria for transferring care of neonates with complex congenital conditions, including indications, timing, and coordination for continuity of care.
  • Identify key clinical laboratory and imaging studies that assess disease severity, inform prognosis, and guide treatment decisions in neonates with congenital anomalies.
  • Review evidence-based treatment strategies for managing congenital neonatal disorders, incorporating the latest clinical research and best practices into therapeutic protocols.
