Medical Group RN Orientation Review: Top of License Practice Part 1
This education aims to enhance understanding of ambulatory care nursing as a specialty and promote top-of-license practice among medical group RNs. It aims to clarify the nurse’s role in improving patient outcomes and population health, while addressing education gaps identified in nurses hired before the implementation of the MGRNO program.

Target Audience
This course is intended for ambulatory care nurses.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Describe how the AAACN Scope and Standards of Practice for Professional Ambulatory Care Nursing facilitate working at the top of licensure.
- Identify how embracing top of license practice as an RN improves patient outcomes.
- Identify professional development opportunities for RNs to participate in top of license practice.
