Lipids at LAST! - Lipid Rescue for Local Anesthetics and Other Toxicities Recorded Presentation
This presentation will provide an overview of lipid rescue in emergent medication scenarios, including in local anesthetic systemic toxicity (LAST), as well as in medication overdoses. It will review the mechanisms of action in LAST, as well as guideline recommendations and supportive care options for LAST and medication overdoses.

Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Identify appropriate usage and potential problems with local anesthetics
- Formulate a treatment plan for local anesthetic systemic toxicity (LAST) and medication overdoses based on current guidelines and available evidence
- Recognize potential complications from medication overdoses
- Develop a plan with appropriate supportive care treatments for patients where lipid emulsion therapy is necessary
