LGH Transplant and Cellular Therapy Class 2025: May 19
This course will go over Bone Marrow Transplant nursing in-depth. Discussions will include HLA typing, genetic mutations, conditioning regiments, engraftment, transplant complications, GVHD. Brief overview of Car T Cell therapy with focus on nursing interventions.
Target Audience
This course is intended for Nurses involved in the Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Identify the rationale for transplant
- Summarize the rationale for each of the BMT orders
- Identify the differences between conditioning regiments
- Recognize when s/s of different complications of transplant and the recommended treatments
- Evaluate the CARTOX scoring and medications available to respond to toxicities from CAR-T cell therapy
