This course will go over Bone Marrow Transplant nursing in-depth. Discussions will include HLA typing, genetic mutations, conditioning regiments, engraftment, transplant complications, GVHD
Target Audience
This course is intended for inpatient BMT nurses.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Identify the rationale for transplant
- Summarize the rationale for each of the BMT orders
- Identify the differences between conditioning regiments
- Recognize when s/s of different complications of transplant and the recommended treatments
