Keeping up with Ketamine: Ketamine Use in Pediatrics reviews current literature regarding the use of ketamine in pediatric care while providing a review of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics of ketamine.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to

  • Recall ketamine pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in pediatric patients - neonates to adolescents.
  • Compare and contrast the physiologic effects of ketamine to identify the advantages and adverse effects of use.
  • Evaluate the current literature regarding the use of ketamine in pediatric care.
  • Select the optimal ketamine treatment plan for a pediatric patient.​​
