Foundations of Human Subjects Research and the Role of the Institutional Review Board

Many pharmacists are expected to produce scholarly work during their residency.  However, there is a lack of training regarding the regulatory requirements for human subjects research and how they differ from other activities such as Evidence Based Practice projects and other Quality Improvement activities.  This presentation will serve as a primer to help pharmacy residents and other pharmacists establish a baseline level of knowledge and understand the key factors in developing research protocols.
