The Evolving Role of GLP-1 Agonists in Diabetes and Weight Loss Management
This program aims to provide an updated overview regarding to the efficacy, safety, and ASCVD reduction profile of GLP-1 agonists that are currently approved for diabetes and weight loss management by the FDA. It also covers how to select appropriate GLP-1 agonists for weight loss management and how agents may be switched from one to another when it is necessary in order to provide continuous care for patients.

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to
- Identify the mechanisms of action for GLP-1 agonists used in diabetes and weight loss management.
- Evaluate the efficacy and safety profiles of GLP-1. agonists used in diabetes and weight loss management.
- Design an appropriate regimen for diabetes management when switching between GLP-1 agonists.
- Recommend an appropriate weight loss regimen using GLP-1 agonists
