Epic Bones Provider

The EPIC learning events are intended to provide training of clinical tools to enhance patient care. The lesson plans for each course will focus on particular workflows that are required to successfully use Epic to accomplish Advocate Health’s mission.

In this course, the user will learn the Epic workflow for Orthopedics specialists. Users will learn to document the surgical consult visit, prep for procedure, and x-ray interpretations.

Target Audience

This course is intended for Ambulatory Physicians, Residents, and Advanced Practice Clinicians

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Operate the EMR in a safe and efficient manner 
  2. Review clinical information effectively 
  3. Accurately create, edit, and document procedures and diagnoses
  4. Correctly order tests, medications, and prescriptions
