Don’t you know that you’re toxic: A review of toxicities associated with beta lactam antibiotics
This presentation will cover toxicities that are associated with beta lactam antibiotics such as cefepime neurotoxicity, neutropenia, and fever.

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to
- Recommend a beta lactam dose to optimize known pharmacokinetic properties
- Analyze risk factors for cefepime neurotoxicity when presented with a clinical scenario
- Interpret clinical and laboratory findings that are associated with drug fever
- Design an antibiotic plan for a patient with neutropenia potentially caused by a beta lactam
