Disappointing Hippocrates: Modern Day Charlatans

This program will present updates on neurosurgical approaches to conditions requiring intervention for pain relief.  Hemifacial Spasm and Trigeminal Neuralgia can be treated with surgical release with a very short length of stay, as opposed to years of treatment for pain.  In addition, it will cover traditional neurosurgical approach to treatment of disorders as compared to less efficacious treatment plans.  The information presented will assist physicians in discussing an appropriate referral for treatment that is supported by research and outcomes.
