Dementia and Delirium Training for Nurses 2026
The course emphasizes the critical differences between dementia and delirium, allowing nurses to recognize symptoms early and respond effectively. Moreover, it includes practical de-escalation techniques aimed at enhancing patient safety and reducing stress in clinical environments. By the end of this training, nurses will be well-prepared to provide compassionate and informed care for patients experiencing cognitive decline.
This education fulfils the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Continuing Education (CE) requirement to renew licenses issued by the Division of Professional Regulation (DPR). The law requires licensees to complete a one-hour CE course related to Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia and is effective for all renewals on or after January 1, 2023.
