Antibiotic Awareness Week (AAW) is an annual worldwide event focused on highlighting the appropriate use of antibiotics and raise awareness of the potential risks of antibiotic misuse. To celebrate AAW 2025 the enterprise ID pharmacy team is coming together to highlight resources, information, and practical knowledge to help optimize day to day antimicrobial use.

Target Audience
This course is intended for Advocate Health Pharmacists and other interested healthcare professionals.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to
- Identify the roles and responsibilities of the infectious diseases and clinical pharmacist within the acute pharmacy practice model and their impact on antimicrobial use
- Recognize common infectious diseases questions that arise throughout clinical practice
- Recommend an appropriate antimicrobial duration for commonly encountered infectious syndromes
