This workshop explores the dynamic relationship between movement, pelvic mechanics, and fetal positioning, and how these factors influence labor progress and birth outcomes. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of why movement is beneficial during labor and how variations in pelvic shape, joint mobility, and asymmetry can affect fetal positioning and labor scenarios.
This conference is being held in person.

Target Audience
This course is intended for Labor and Delivery Nurses, Midwives, Residents/OBs, and Community Perinatal Health Workers.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Analyze how maternal movement, positioning, and pelvic-biomechanics (including pelvic-shape, joint motion, and pelvic floor dynamics) influence pelvic space and fetal positioning during labor.
- Apply knowledge of pelvic variation and positioning strategies to support fetal descent, rotation, and progression through labor
- Evaluate and reframe traditional concepts of optimal fetal positioning using an individualized, movement-based approach.
