Clinical Issues in Couple and Family Therapy Series: Annual Solution-Focused Brief Therapy Conference
This workshop illustrates the purposeful use of words and questions to enhance hope and therapeutic outcomes with clients of all ages and circumstances, including adults, young people, and their school problems. Dr. Murphy uses real-time demonstrations, video clips, case studies, and practice exercises to give participants practical tools they can immediately apply with their clients.

Target Audience
This course is intended for mental health practitioners, including physicians, marriage and family therapists, social workers, professional counselors, and other interested health care professionals.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Discover change-focused words and questions that enhance clients' hope and outcomes.
- Recommend available inner and outer resources to help clients achieve their goals.
- Formulate how to respond to so-called "resistant" clients in ways that engage their motivation and involvement.
