Buprenorphine For Opioid Use Disorder

This course will review of the use of buprenorphine for the treatment of opioid use disorder and discuss the barriers, challenges, risks, and efficacy of buprenorphine treatment.  Although evidence from numerous studies has shown buprenorphine to be effective for the treatment of opioid use disorder, a majority of patients with opioid use disorder do not receive buprenorphine, or any other medical treatment.

This course has been approved by the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board as meeting the requirements for a continuing education course on the responsible opioid prescribing guidelines per Med 13.03(3) of the Wisconsin Administrative Code. Number of Credits Approved: 1.00.

This activity is designed for phyicians, nurses, and other healthcare professional.
