This one-day course introduces participants to the basics of essential oils and aromatherapy for personal use and lays the groundwork for safe application in health care alongside traditional allopathic care to improve patient outcomes. The focus will be largely on inhalation methods with some direct application.

Target Audience

This course is intended for nurses, physicians, and other interested healthcare providers

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Define aromatherapy.
  2. Distinguish methods for using aromatherapy in the health care environment.
  3. Describe two safety issues.
  4. Identify four essential oils that may be used with environmental aromatherapy with adults and with pediatrics.

  • Cancellations must be in writing (email)
  • Registrants cancelling between two weeks and five full business days prior to the first day of the event are "refunded at 70% of the registration fee subject to a minimum $25 cancellation fee."
  • No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received less than five full business days prior to the event.  Once your essential oil kit has been shipped, we are unable to provide a refund.
  • No refunds or credit will be given for no-shows.
  • No vouchers will be issued in lieu of a refund.
