Aromatherapy in Healthcare: Basics of Essential Oils: January 22, 2025
This one-day course introduces participants to the basics of essential oils and aromatherapy for personal use and lays the groundwork for safe application in health care alongside traditional allopathic care to improve patient outcomes. The focus will be largely on inhalation methods with some direct application.

Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Define aromatherapy.
- Distinguish methods for using aromatherapy in the health care environment.
- Describe two safety issues.
- Identify four essential oils that may be used with environmental aromatherapy with adults and with pediatrics.
