Advocate Children's Hospital Neonatal/Pediatric Transport Conference: Advocating Excellence in Transport Medicine 2026

As part of our commitment to excellence, the Advocate Children’s Transport Team is proud to extend its pediatric and neonatal expertise to the region through a dedicated day of learning. This event will focus on critical topics in pediatric and neonatal transport, including airway emergencies, congenital heart disease, emotional intelligence in the workplace, human trafficking, child abuse recognition and management, and behavioral health emergencies . Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to explore neonatal and pediatric case studies, as well as the latest innovations from the Advocate Children’s Hospital Transport Team.

 

This conference is being held in person only.

Target Audience

This conference is designed for physicians, advanced practice providers, registered nurses, EMT’s, paramedics and respiratory therapists who care for pediatric and neonatal patients.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  • Describe common congenital heart defects and appropriate stabilization techniques during neonatal and pediatric transport.
  • Identify components to manage pediatric and neonatal emergency/ difficult airways
  • Identify components of emotional intelligence in the workplace
  • Recognize the presentation of a patient experiencing human trafficking
  • Identify appropriate components of the neonatal/pediatric transport process and appropriate components needed to prepare a patient for transport
