Target Audience

This course is intended for healthcare professionals that encounter patients with concussion injuries and other ailments related to their injury. We welcome all professionals from physicians and APCs to all rehabilitation staff (LAT, PT, OT, SLP).

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Identify the role of each discipline in the concussion management network
  2. Develop new skills by gaining insight into distinct treatment techniques employed by various disciplines
  3. Distinguish what constitutes an appropriate referral to each discipline in the network
  4. Recognize the purpose and uses of baseline concussion testing
  5. Describe how medical management contributes to the rehabilitation of concussion patients
  6. Develop critical thinking, apply seminar knowledge, explore ideas from diverse disciplines, and engage in group discussions using case studies.
