The program is a one day of education, including 3 lectures and case presentations. The talk involves the surgical and medical management of patients with pulmonary atresia, ventricular septal defect and major aorto-pulmonary collaterals, as well as management of pulmonary hypertension associated with congenital heart diseases in general. The program is meant for physicians, nurses, and any health professional involved in the care of these patients.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Identify different management options of patients with pulmonary atresia, ventricular septal defect and major aortopulmonary collaterals
  2. Recommend the long-term management of these patients 
  3. Identify management of pulmonary hypertension that can be associated with this heart lesion.
