4th Annual Multidisciplinary Critical Care Symposium

Oak Lawn, IL US
June 5, 2025

Timely and effective care of critically ill patients supersedes defined boundaries for patient care, occurring in locations as varied as the outpatient clinic, emergency department, and inpatient ward.  While involving an intensivist in a patient’s care ensures the provision of maximal critical care, early recognition and management of critical illness by providers outside of intensive care units profoundly impacts the success of further care provided in the ICU.  Many patients who would previously have been managed in the ICU are furthermore now being managed in non-ICU settings.  As such, early recognition and initiation of evidence-based critical care interventions has become incumbent on all members of the healthcare team.

Advocate Health boasts a uniquely robust cross-disciplinary critical care team which includes one of the largest collections of emergency medicine-trained intensivists in the country.  This symposium capitalizes on that expertise to capture the wide breadth of critical care in 2025, with updates relevant to every member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, both within and outside of the ICU.

This conference is being held virtually and in-person.
