This course is intended for nurses, physicians, pharmacists and other health care professionals.

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Utilize ways to provide up-to-date, best practices in evidence-based medicine related to current topics in advanced heart failure 
  2. Interpret which patients constitute "advanced" heart failure and the key clinical characteristics associated with high clinical risk needed referral for advanced heart failure treatments 
  3. Assess the factors contributing to heart failure progression and available therapies to address the conditions
